Waiting for swell ...

Westerly Swell should be coming tomorrow ... hopefully we will be seeing some chest high sets at the good spots around Isla Vista.

Should be good early in the morning before the high tide, then the storm will blow in mid afternoon and screw evertything up.

More swell on Sunday ... stay posted!

Stormy February & Poo Water

So the water is pretty nasty at most spots due to the stormy February we have been having.

It's recommended not to enter to the Ocean until 72 hours after a rain, (due to the poo water runoff).

Sometimes we need to break this rule, if we stumble upon a firing poo barrel ... But it's generally better just to sleep in than to risk getting a dirty infection.

LATE-NITE UPDATE:  So today was actually fun ... once the tide dropped out... some poo waves to be sloshed around in along with dead bodies and syringes.

Call In Sick

Go score some waves!!!

EVENING UPDATE: So the tide was too high, but it was still pretty fun at the right spot on the right board.

Yesterday, was fun ... today is junky (possibly getting good by evening?)

Yesterday was surprisingly fun ... Really wasn't expecting to see head high sets at coal oil yesterday.

I checked it this morning at 9. The tide was high, super junky and small ... swell supposedly building? we'll see if we get some waves this evening!

Swell will slowly be building over the next couple of days, look for it to be barely thigh high at the standout spots today. Tomorrow we might see some chest high sets if we are lucky!

There's also a little South in the water, so that combo might help some of the beachbreaks be a little more peaky!
